They have a vital objective of this algorithm, which is to ensure that a customer who rides through Ola Share should not be suffering any delay or deviation except for just a few minutes.

This innovative approach by Ola is set to check several problems in India, like pollution, traffic jams, increasing congestion, etc.  Due to such effective carpooling, Ola has already managed to save up to 5 million kgs of carbon issuance. The campaign #DoYourShare helped in saving up tons of carbon emissions from major pollution-prone cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai alone.

How Does Share Pass Work? 

You can avail the Share Pass in a few simple steps.

  1. After opening the Ola app, click on ‘My Profile under Menu.
  2. Select ‘Share Pass’ and click on ‘Buy A New Pass’.
  3. There are 3 options available: 10, 20 or 40 rides. Choose what’s best for you according to your convenience.

You can pay for it via OlaMoney or Net Banking. You can also opt for debit/credit cards.

What It Has To Offer? 

Ola is offering another interesting offer of 5 trips at just Re.1. This is to be contributed to WWF-India Fund for environmental conversation causes. However, this is a limited period offer and is not valid on airport rides.

Ola is also offering a cashback of up to Rs.100 on Ola Money upon purchasing of the Share Pass. Apply the Ola Referral Code to avail this offer. You can also transfer the cashback amount to your bank account directly.

You also get another Rs.100 if you refer a friend.

In addition to this, at the time of booking, you have the option of creating your group. Upon doing so, you will only be matched with a member of own group for sharing a ride. Terms and Conditions

The Share Pass comes with a few terms and conditions, which are as follows:

  1. The standard Rs. 40 rate is applicable only up to 8 km. After that, the extra distance will be charged at Micro rates.
  2. The Share Pass comes with a validity of 30 days from the activation date.
  3. The Ola Share Pass is not available to the prepaid account holders of ‘Ola Corporate’.
  4. An additional fare may be added to the Share Pass fare if at the time of booking two or more seats are selected.
